Coffee Break #15
Freelancers Inc. came up with an idea of putting up a freelance magazine called Lakwatcha. A Filipino term for time out or leisurely break.
This is powered by WordPress with lots of plugins like Facebook connect, customized view of dashboard per user level, and email check. It also has image uploading for contributors who would want to share their photos.
Here’s a screenshot of what it will look like.
It’s kinda like a social interaction site but with a little twist. Users can save their (member’s) photos, add friends, search jobs, put portfolio tabs if the member is a freelancer (with an option to publish his work online or in print). The site has ads section, status updating, add/report comments for each post, and the unique feature – memory per tag requests.
It has two different levels of user accounts; One is the Lakwatchero and the other one is the Establishment. Each account can search for a Lakwatchero and ask for his curriculum vitae or some samples the specific Lakwatchero has. It’s totally free! No need for top-up cards or credit cards to purchase something or pay after adding an ad-post.
It has a login system that easily connects to Facebook, Gmail, or Yahoo for easy signups. You better watch out for this one to be online. www.lakwatcha.com
